A Time to be Born – Brother Richard Dees, Sr. was born on December 12, 1954 to the late John and Arcola Dees, Sr.

A Time to Die – Brother Richard Dees went to meet his Heavenly Father on August 16, 2018 at 2:36 am at his home surrounded by family and loved ones.

A Time to Embrace – Brother Richard Dees accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Arthur Carson. He was educated in the School System Citronelle High, and graduated from Cedar Grove Academy, Mobile, Alabama. He was employed at Brown and Root Company ten years, and Alabama Power eight years.

A Time to Love – He met and married Shirley York in the year of 1978.

A Time to Morn – Richard leaves to cherish his memories a lovely and devoted wife, Shirley Y. Dees; children: Tracy (Joseph) Stewart of Citronelle, Alabama, Rechette Dees, Richard Dees, Jr., Sharla Dees of Mount Vernon, Alabama, Dionne (Anthony) Thomas, Latisha (Alferronzo) Flott of Satsuma, Alabama, Darculyn (Jennie) Clark of Birmingham, Alabama and Amedeus Edward (Brantley) Davis of Muskeyin, Michigan; four brothers and two sisters: Pastor John (Pearlie) Dees, Jr. of Dixon Mills, Alabama, Willie (Lucinda) Dees of Mount Vernon, Alabama, Mary (Joseph) Fisher of Henderson, Alabama, Freddie (Annette) Dees of Mobile, Alabama, Minister Robert (Beverly) Dees of Mount Vernon, Alabama and Rosa (Reuben, Sr.) Adams of Calvert, Alabama; extended family: Walter (Verdell) Dees of Mount Vernon, Alabama, Annette (Fred) Roberts, Sr. of Mount Vernon, Alabama, Catherine Robinson of Mobile, Alabama; mother-in-law, Mary York Sullivan of Citronelle, Alabama, Frederick (Theresa) Sullivan of Mobile, Alabama; twenty-two grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
