Obituary for Richard Thomas Sanders Jr.
Richard Thomas Sanders, Jr., a native of Bay Minette, Alabama was born June 2, 1943 to the late Richard Thomas Sanders Sr. and Octavia Franklin Sanders. He transitioned on Monday, February 15, 2021 at a local hospital.
Richard was a 1961 graduate of Central High School. Richard served as an Air Policeman in the United States Air Force and was a loyal employee of Kimberly Clark, formerly Scott Paper Company for thirty-eight years. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Rock of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a member of the Trustee Board and Usher Board #1.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Thomas Sanders Sr. and Octavia Franklin Sanders; sister, Frankie Giddens; and a brother, Edward Sanders.
Richard leaves to cherish his precious memories, two daughters: Tsopei and Zaneta (Todd); two sons: Kelvin (Teri) Richard and Richard; seven grandchildren: Kalisha, Kimora, Makara, Kristin, Christian, Myekerria, and Rajah; three great-grandkids; two sisters: Arvela Sanders and Elaine Sanders; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; along with longtime companion, Wanda Thomas and friends Willie Charles Cleveland and William “Billy” Pettaway.
