Roderick Maurice Hall was born May 22, 1959, to the marriage of Mary Quivers and Ernest Lee Hall. A long-time resident of Mobile, he graduated from W. P. Davidson High School and attended Alabama A & M University.

Roderick was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Lee Hall, his grandparents Stephen (Elizabeth) Quivers; in-laws, David R. (Bettye) Clark Sr. several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife of 36 years, Angela Clark Hall; a daughter, Cameron Patrice Hall (Mobile, AL); a son, Roderick Maurice Hall, II (Athens, GA); a loving mother, Mary Quivers Stevenson; a sister, Pamela Hall (Sylvester) Shakir(Sugar Hill, GA), aunt, Frenzetta Quivers, and uncle, Rev. Dr. Rudolph Overstreet; sister-in-law, Carla P. Clark; brother-in-law, David (Sonja) Clark, Jr., nephews, David R. Clark, III; Desmond M. Clark (all of Houston,

As a young man, Roderick traveled with his family, living in several locations. Finally settling back in Mobile, Alabama, he attended Stone Street Baptist Church and later moved his own family to Ebenezer Baptist Church of Cottage Hill. He was a member of the Knights of Ebony Social Club. He was a member of International Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 441 here in Mobile, Alabama and later retired from International Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 85 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Never meeting a stranger, Rod easily made friends. As a resident of the Ashland Place Nursing Home Facility everyone knew Mr. Hall or better said, Mr. Roderick. He helped everyone he met and loved his family. Parkinson’s Disease did limit
Rod’s activity, but did not limit his love for life, family, and friends. He often would remark that he was blessed to live to see both of his children become adults and accomplish their dreams. Roderick was a great son, brother, cousin, father, and husband. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
