Obituary for Roosevelt McCreary
Mr. Roosevelt McCreary was born to the union of Jack and Eula Mae McCreary in Fountain, Alabama on August 26, 1931. He was a longtime resident of Fairhope, Alabama and a faithful member of Christian Valley Baptist Church. Mr. McCreary departed this life Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at his home surrounded by loved ones.
His family moved to Baldwin County in 1941 were he attended Baldwin County Training School. He retired from Print Xcel (Poser) in 1997 and later went to work at Wal-Mart. He was also a licensed electrician.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Eula Mae McCreary, wife Bama Mae McCreary, son Clemer Leggett, daughter Shirley Jean Jackson, one brother Charles McCreary; one sister Idella McCreary Banks.
Mr. Roosevelt leaves to cherish his memories three daughters, Dannie Mae (George Parker) Mitchell, Robertsdale, AL; Mildred Jefferson, and Annette Martin both of Williamsburg VA; three sons, Clemer Terrance (Donna) Leggett Phenix City, AL; Monier Leggett and Darrell (Katrina) Leggett, both of Fairhope, AL; one brother Lovell (Willie Pearl) McCreary, Daphne, AL; one sister Anne M. (Henry) Bogus, Mobile, AL. Fifteen grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
