Samuel "Doc Sam" Arnold -- a native of and lifelong resident of Mobile, born July 20, 1948, departed this life Thursday, March 28, 2007 at a local nuring facility. He was preceded in death by his mother Esther and brother Carlos Arnold. He leaves to cherish his memories daughter, April Murphy, a loving and devoted sister, Beverly L. Pettaway, three nieces, Lenora F. Taylor, Greta (Kevin) Williamson and Yolanda (Napoleon) Wheeler, two nephews, Demetrius (Tara) Pettaway, all of Mobile and Christopher Pettaway, Little Rock, AR., three devoted cousins, Delores Watson, Leon Matthews and Theodore Smith, a host of great nieces, nephews cousins, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Wright, Franklin Medical Center and Crowne Health Care 2nd ward. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, April 6, 2007 from 1-8pm and Saturday, April 7, 2007 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Mt.
