Savalia “Charlotta” Thomas passed away on January 10,2019 in Mobile, Alabama at the age of seventy-four. A native
of Whistler, Alabama, Savalia was born to Savalia and Charlie Tyler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Joe Thomas; parents, Savalia and Charlie Tyler; siblings: JoAnn Gaines and Diane Davis.
Savalia had a lifelong career in the healthcare industry and was a member of the Third Baptist Church. Affectionately
known as Cha, she was loved by all who knew her. She took special joy in all of her nieces and nephews. Cha was infamous for her lovable humor and wit, service to others, and delectable chicken salad that touched the palates of many. The Matriarch of her family, Savalia will sadly be missed byher son, Carlos (Edna) Tyler of Madison, AL; her siblings:Shirley Lynch, Barbara (Alexander (deceased)) Giles of Gretna, LA, Nellie Mims of Lawreneville, GA, Charlie Tyler, Claretta Thrash, Linda (Larry) Cobbs and Cederick (Lisa) Tyler; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
