Obituary for Senious Caldwell Jr.

Senious “Sonny” Caldwell, Jr., age 81, resident of Eight Mile, Alabama and former resident of Plateau, Alabama departed this life on Monday, July 6, 2020.
Senious was a 1960 graduate of Mobile County Training School where he played on the football team as a lineman and linebacker. He was very respected and known for his toughness and athleticism.
Sonny worked as a Dock worker at the Alabama State Docks and also worked at Scotts Paper/Kimberly Clark Company until retirement in 1999. He was also a business owner of Caldwell Janitorial. In addition, he dedicated himself to working with children in the Eight Mile area (Highpoint Park) through coaching and mentoring.
Sonny had an array of hobbies, including: landscaping his yard, singing, swing dancing, fishing, watching sports and old westerns television shows.
Sonny was preceded in death by his mother Elvenia Caldwell, his father Senious Caldwell Sr, his sister Cleo Caldwell, his brother Wilmer Caldwell, his brother Johnny Lee Caldwell, his sister Dorthy Bryant, and sister Martha May White.
Sonny is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Caldwell of 28 years, children: Dominic (Delta) Caldwell, Paul (Inga) Caldwell, Joseph Davis, Katrina Davis, and Calvin Smith. Siblings: Pankie Caldwell, Charles Caldwell, and Elbert (Joan) Caldwell. Eleven Grand Children and six Great Grand Children. A host of nieces, great nieces and nephews.
