Obituary for Sharon Denise Phelon

God, in his infinite wisdom has found it befitting to call from labor to rest one of his faithful servants:
Mrs. Sharon Smith Phelon—wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.
Sharon Smith Phelon was born, and raised, in Prichard, Alabama and later resided in Mobile, Alabama. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 7, 2020, surrounded by close family at a local hospital. She was born on January 16, 1971 to the late Janice Marie Robinson and she was also raised by a praying grandmother, the late, Lela Mae Powell Smith.
Sharon confessed Christ at and early age while attending St. Joseph Baptist Church in Prichard. She later united with the Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church as a faithful member until sickness prevented fellowship with her church family.
Sharon Smith Phelon leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Eric Martin Phelon; three sons, Darryl Smith, Isiah Smith, and Timothy Smith of Picayune, MS; one granddaughter, her-pride-and-joy Princess Iriah Smith; one brother, Nathaniel (Arlanda) Smith; a sister-in-law, Angela Phelon; best-friend-forever, Mrs. Kimberly (Johnnie Lee) Parker; and a long list of “devoted” cousins, uncle, niece, nephews, and many friends who loved her dearly.
