Sharon Elizabeth Williams was born January 20, 1952 in Mobile, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilhelmenia and Willie Cleveland, two sisters- Mary Lucille Boone and Gwendolyn Cleveland-Lucy, and three brothers- Ledell Cleveland Sr., Franklin Delano Cleveland and Joseph Boone. She was called to rest on May 18, 2020 to continue a peaceful eternal life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Sharon was a faithful member of Gulf Coast Christian Center in Mobile, AL where she was also an Elder and a mentor to many. She attended Lillie B. Williamson High School (Class of 70) in Mobile, AL and Meadows Draughon Business College in New Orleans, Louisiana. Sharon also worked at the Mobile Press Register for several years. Sharon accepted Christ at an early age and was a humble servant of God. Whether it was a mission trip to Africa or a simple phone call, Sharon was a true inspiration to all she encountered. She was a great listener with a peaceful spirit who made the best potato salad and cornbread dressing you ever tasted. She loved her family and was ready to listen, pray and give advice when called upon.
Sharon leaves to cherish her memory – her husband Roy Lee Williams, her son Andre Jarvis (Cameka) Williams, her daughter Leslie Roche’ Williams, mother-in-law Eva Mae Williams, five grandkids: Caelen Madison Clark, Jacelyn Elizabeth Clark, Cianna Gabriel Williams, Jaden Elijah Williams, and Kezia Keren Williams, four sisters: Shirley (Virgil) Wilson, Deborah Cleveland, Charlotte Cleveland, Lindell Cleveland (Birmingham, AL), three brothers: Willie Charles (Barbara) Cleveland, James Cleveland (Birmingham, AL), Dennis Cleveland, brother-in-law William Williams, sister-in-law Theresa Nixon, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sharon was a very sharp dresser. It was a pleasure taking care of her expensive clothes serving as her personal seamstress. I had to alter her fine attire to fit her to a T. The two of us serving in the ministry, we had some awesome spiritual conversations. Also, she was a great counselor and friend that never complained. Family, you have been blessed to had an awesome jewel that cared for you as a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a praying Woman of God. She lived her life the way God planned it. She kept the faith, finished her course and took her rest. To God Be The Glory. Allow her legacy to live on in your heart as precious memories. Continue to be blessed, Minister Celeste Patrick.
