Obituary for Sheila A Keeby (Keeby)

Sheila Annette Keeby, a resident of Mobile, AL, born on December 24, 1956, departed this life on February 23, 2024.

Sheila decided to commit her life to Jesus Christ at an early age. It was her desire to see the Lord’s purpose fulfilled. She was a faithful member of Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, Mobile, AL under the leadership of Rev. Desmond V. Smoot, Sr.

Sheila graduated from Toulminville High School, Class of 1974 and attended Spring Hill College, Mobile, AL and Bellevue University, Omaha, NE, majoring in Computer Information Systems.

She lived and worked in Atlanta, GA for over 40 years. She worked in the field of finance as a bookkeeper, supervisor of bookkeeping and technical assistant for Nations Bank (formerly Bank South). From 1988 to her retirement in 2017, she worked as a Senior Quality Assurance Team Leader and Supervisor where she was very well loved and respected by her peers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore R. Keeby, Sr. and Lucreasia M. Keeby, her brothers, Samuel J. Keeby and Melvin M. Keeby.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her siblings: Mary N. Keeby, Atlanta, GA, Patricia H. Keeby, Pensacola, FL, Gail V. Sampson, Mobile, AL, devoted sister Evelyn R. Keeby, Mobile, AL, Oria S. Keeby (TuWanya), Atlanta, GA, Cathy P. Keeby, Mobile, AL, Frank Andry, Mobile, AL and Theodore R. Keeby, Jr. (Cassandra), Mobile, AL. and devoted lifelong friends: Janice Mitchell, Carla Paige, Mattie Howard, Patti Stencer, and devoted Speech Therapist Ashley Baggett and a host of nieces and nephews that dearly love their Auntie Sheila.
