Obituary

Obituary for Sue Anderson Porter (Porter)

Sister Sue Anderson Porter was born on September 22, 1955 in Stockton, Alabama to the late Ezell and Lottie Anderson. She graduated from Baldwin County High School in 1973.

Sue was united in holy matrimony on December 6, 1973 to the love of her life Michael G. Porter Sr. Her family was her main priority. Sue was a loving and dedicated wife and mother who enjoyed every moment of joy with her children and grandchildren.

Sue was employed by Manor Slacks for over twenty years. She was also an exemplary employee of Standard Furniture and manager at L.A. Subs for more than ten years.

Sister Sue joined Union Baptist Church and was a faithful and dedicated member of the Usher Board as well as serving wherever needed in the church until her health failed. She had a quiet, gentle, and warm demeanor that made everyone she encountered feel loved and appreciated.

Sister Sue journeyed to her heavenly home on Friday April 3, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years and one brother Dwight Anderson.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories (4) beloved children Michelle Chastang, Tiffany Porter, Michael G.
