Obituary for Thelia Narkeita Bolar

Thelia made a grand entrance into the world, in Prichard, Alabama. She was the seventh of twelve children born in the Bolar household to Rev. Liston & Theresa B. Bolar. She brought much joy to the family. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart does good, like medicine.” Her legacy always included much laughter in the family. Thelia didn’t stop laughing from her birth until her death. She attended the Mobile School System. After a year of college, she joined the U.S. Army and trained as an Air Traffic Controller, serving in that position for 22 years until her retirement.

Thelia was baptized at an early age and spent her formative years at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Prichard, Alabama, along with the Bolar Family. She was passionate about her personal witness of Jesus Christ. She witness to family and friends alike, she wanted them to accept and know Jesus and be filled with the Holy Spirit! Her social media page is lined with many friends saying that she loved, helped, prayed or witness to them. Thelia was very adamant about helping others. There was not a time that someone needed something that she turned them away empty handed or empty hearted. In fact, her house was always full of love, good food and company.
