Mrs. Thelma Henderson was born May 14,
1933 to the union of Mr. & Mrs. Warren (Datie Sumpter)
Smith. She was a resident of Mobile, Alabama. She
exchanged life for eternity, Tuesday, September 14, 2022.
Thelma was preceded in death by her mother; Datie
Sumpter Smith, father; Warren Smith, husband; John W.
Henderson, daughter; Deloris A. Boone, three sisters,
Daisy Mae Smith Scott, Edna Smith Miles, Velma Smith,
one brother, Willie Smith and grandson, Adrian D. Boone.
She confessed Christ at an early age and was a member at
Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev.
Samuel Jenkins. She was a faithful member of the church
until her health no longer would allow her to serve under
the present pastor, Rev. Levi Summers, Sr.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories One (1) Very
Devoted granddaughter, Kimberly L. Boone; Two (2)
Devoted grandsons, Joel Q. Boone Sr., and Dwight D.
(Charlitta) Boone; One (1) devoted stepdaughter, Brenda
O’Neal; Four (4) devoted stepsons, Wesley (Verdale)
O’Neal, John O’Neal, Johnny (Tammy) O’Neal and
Fredrick (Laura) Norris; Twelve (12) great-grandchildren,
Christopher Jr., Joycelyn, Brittley, Kelcey, Joel Jr., Kristy,
Kenneisha, Kendra, Joelle, Darnell, Adric, and Cameron.
Twelve (12) great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends who
loved and cherished her dearly.
