Obituary for Theodore William Waugh

Theodore William Waugh, a native of Glassboro, NJ departed this life on Sunday, May 31,
2020 at his resident. He was born to the Late Harry and Olivia Dixon Waugh.
Spending his life in Philadelphia along with his children, he became the Drill Sergent to all of
his family. They loved him dearly with much respect. He was a true example of training up a
child in the way they should go.
Theodore joined the United States Air Force and served in the Koren War in 1953.
A truck driver for twenty-seven years. A limo driver for Powell Funeral Home. Mr. Waugh
enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Sack Around P___ Club since 2011.
Theodore and Ruth E. Waugh married in 2003. He moved to Mobile spending sixteen and a
half years together. Becoming members of Magnolia Baptist Church for many years under
the leadership of Pastor Sylvester Murray. Always enjoying the Male Chorus, he believed
and served God with gladness. The children at church called him the “Canely Man, Dasha,
Dayna, DJ, Brysen” but...Special Love from All The Children of Magnolia.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Blanch Waugh; sons: Charles and Moseam Waugh and
Tyron Burton.
Mr. Waugh leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Ruth E. Waugh; children: Yonne
V. Eldridge, Theodore W. (Gwendolyn) Waugh, Storen (Louise) Waugh, Keith Waugh,
Theodore (Andre) Quick, Olivia C. Waugh all of Philadelphia, PA; step-sons: Deneal Shine
and Dog-Rosa; one sister, Helen Powell of Surprise, AZ; a host of cousins, other relatives and
friends.
