Thomas John King Jr. , a native of Mobile,Alabama, was
born August 10, 1940 to the union of Thomas and
Elizabeth King, Sr. he was called home March 31, 2022.
Thomas was known by all who knew him as “Junior”
King.
Thomas was a graduate of Central High School class of
1960. He furthered his education and became a licensed
electrician from Carver State.
He then went on to serve his country by joining the United
States Army. He served tours in the United Stated, Korea
and Germany where he was an expert rifleman. He was
released from his duty on November 2, 1965.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth
King, his father Thomas J. King Sr. ;five sisters Ms. Shirley
King, Mrs. Mary King-Garbutt, Mrs. Lillian King-Thomas,
Mrs. Josephine King-Powell and Marion L. King.; and one
brother William J. King.
Thomas leaves to cherish is memories, three sisters:
Dorothy (Jimmie) Bell, Florence Patricia King of Mobile,
Alabama and Irene King-McGowan of Cleveland Ohio:
one brother Alvin King Sr. ; one Goddaughter Lisa E. Bell
of Katy, Texas. ; a devoted friend; Emile Lang and a host of neices, nephews, cousins
relatives and friends.
