Obituary for Timmy Lee Gaskin
MR. TIMMY LEE GASKIN, was a native and resident of Daphne, Alabama, born February 11, 1971, departed this life on Wednesday, November 30 at his home in Daphne, Alabama.
Lee joined the U.S. Army in 1991 where he quickly ascended thru the ranks and attained the rank of Sergeant First Class, he retired in 2012. During his career he made multiple deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. He served with the utmost valor and conviction and was awarded several prestigious awards for his leadership, courage and bravery. His awards consisted of but are not limited to the following: The Meritorious Service Medal, The Army Commendation Medal and the Army Achievement Medal; these are only a few of the accolades that he received during his tenure in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his mother Brenda Marie Gaskin, his father Eddie Lee Gaskin and his brothers Eddie Rodney Johnson and Billy Maurice Gaskin. He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Wesley D Gaskin; two brothers Bobby F Gaskin (Stephanie) and Barry D Gaskin; one sister Karen D Gaskin; nine nephews and nieces, ten great nephews and nieces and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
