Obituary for Uesamah Mckinnis

Uesamah Quhir McKinnis lovingly known as “Esam” to his friends and family was born July 29,
1977 in Mobile, AL to Richard J. Traylor and Barbara Ann McKinnis. He departed this life June 22,
2020 at Springhill Medical Center.
Esam was a member of the Church of God Pentecostal under the fellowship of the late Bishop
Zackariah and Missionary Carrie Moore, Sr. He spent his life doting on his wife and children.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara McKinnis; grandparents, Tommy L. and Dura
McKinnis; aunt, Wanda Wiley; and two uncles: Tommy W. McKinnis and Dway McKinnis.
Esam leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Nikki Edwards McKinnis; twelve
children: Kylie, Uesamah, Jr. and Isaiah McKinnis, Jaden, Treyvonne and Tyler Armstrong,
McKenzie, Taliyah and Khloe McKinnis, Serenity and Christopher Grant and Khary Edwards; two
brothers: Micheal (Tinikki) Brandon McKinnis and Isaac Coleman; three sisters: Hafeezah, Naejumah
and LaTisa Coleman all of Mobile, AL; two aunts: Sandra McKinnis of Mobile, AL and Janice Bell of
Buckatunna, MS; two uncles: Roderick McKinnis of Burlington and Ervin Lacy of Buckatunna, MS;
three nephews: Michael, Jr., Jamichael and Mikhy McKinnis all of Mobile, AL; a host of other aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, three devoted: Amber McKinnis, Tonedra Packer and Gabriel Reed;
other relatives and friends, three devoted: Walter Coleman, Cleo Bouler and Dewon Donaldson.
