Obituary for Vallarie D. Overstreet

Vallarie Deann Overstreet transitioned into eternity on October 20, 2022. She was born on October 11, 1964, in Mobile, AL to the parentage of Dr. Rudolph Overstreet and the late Ernestine Q. Overstreet.

Vallarie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Stone Street Baptist Church. She later united with Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was very active at Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was a member of the Kitchen Ministry of which she later became the leader. Vallarie was also an active member of Sunday School and a member of the Women’s Ministry, Heart to Heart. A graduate of Williamson High School’s class of 1982, Vallarie also attended Bishop State Community College and was employed by Mobile Community Action where she worked in the Medical Department.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Chquana Overstreet; three grandchildren, Zion Overstreet, Jakob and Caleb Johnson; two greatgrandchildren, Imani and Armani Moore; father, Dr. Rudolph Overstreet (Cheryl Overstreet); one sister, Natasha Overstreet; one nephew, master Rudolph Overstreet; two devoted Godchildren, T’Dana Dinkins and Tiffany Clark; Two God sisters, Tyana Dinkins and Tyesha Liggins; two honorary sisters Belinda Crippen and Velma Liggins; two aunts, Mary Q. Stevenson and Frenzetta Quivers; one uncle, James Ellison; and a host of cousins, other relatives, neighbors, church family, and friends.
