Obituary for Victoria Jones

Mrs. Victoria Williams Jones, (Affectionately known as Mama Vick). She was a lifelong resident of Irvington, AL. Born April 30,1937 to the late Theodore Williams and Claudie Hayden Williams, departed this earthly life on February 12, 2021 at a local hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 34 years, Deacon Clarence L. Jones. Children, Elliotte and Claressa Jones. Her Sister, Fannie Peyton.
At an early age, she joined Freewater Missionary Baptist Church, where she served in many ministries and was a faithful member. Later, joined the Lighthouse Apostolic Church in Grand Bay, AL.
She leaves to cherish her memories 6 children: Brenda Pullen of Dallas, TX, Cynthia (Pastor Frank) Woodyard of Grand Bay, AL, Jackie (Jerome Holloway) Ward of Mobile, AL, Thelma Bowes of Olney, MD, Altheia Jones-Bee of Grand Bay, AL, Acheiva Jones, Dallas, TX. One brother, Theodore Williams of Irvington, AL.
Sisters-in-law, Dorothy Jones of Irvington, AL, Alfreda Williams of Laurendine, AL, Ruth (Kenneth) Cobb of Boston, MA, Betty Coleman of Irvington, AL., Brothers-in-law, Barry (Cheryl) McCall and Jerry McCall of Laurendine, AL, Wilbert McCall of Theodore, AL.
Mama Vick is survived by 15 grandchildren: Mark Woodyard, Juaque Woodyard of Grand Bay, AL, LaShaun Woodyard of Murrietta, CA, Daniel Pullen of Jackson, MS, Michael Pullen of Dallas, TX, Chasity Penn of Mobile, AL, Marcus Williams of Grand Bay, AL, Kaila Ward of St. Elmo, AL, Drailond Jones of Grand Bay, AL, Amy T. Jones of Moss Point, MS, Desmond Jones of VA, Travis Jones of Moss Point, MS, Gerard Bowes and Claudia Bowes of Olney MD, Ambre Smith of Theodore AL,18 great-grands. God Children: Shantae Coleman, Cecelia Coleman, Wykeana Sanders, Margie Rogers, Demetrius West. A host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. A special friend Elder Barry Griffin.
