Mrs. Voncile Ford Ali was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday December 16, 2020. She was born on April 2, 1956 in Mobile, AL.
Voncile was the daughter of Robert Sr. and Vallie Ford, who preceded her in death. Also, preceding her in death was her son David Adams; sisters Beverly Ann Nettles and Valerie Ford, and brother Freddie Lee Henderson.
Voncile was a nursing aid for several years having a passion for caring for people, especially the elderly. Voncile had a love for cooking and went to cooking school. She loved preparing delicious meals for friends and family.
In 1990, Voncile met James Ali and they later wed on August 24, 1992. Prior to meeting James, Voncile had 3 children from a previous marriage. James had 5 children from a previous marriage and they both decided that 8 was enough 😊. Voncile had a zeal for life and enjoyed traveling. She enjoyed Mardi Gras and never missed a parade. She loved spending time with her family and always had a ball attending Sister’s Day with her siblings. She loved everyone and never met a stranger. Her theme of life was love thy neighbor as thyself. And like she told her husband James Ali years ago, “Here’s My Heart;” it just bears witness to the caring and loving person that she was.
She will be remembered for her vibrant smile, her big heart, tremendous personality, loving spirit, optimism, and great cooking.
Voncile is survived by her daughter Daveal Eugina Adams and son Anthony Darnel Ford; sisters Viola Powell, RoseMary Henley, Gladys Jane White, Deloris Murphy, Brunetta Capell, and brother Reverend Robert Ford Jr; 14 grandchildren, a host of great grands, devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
