Obituary for Walter Earl Napier

On June 13, 2022,
The Angel of God whispered:
“Walter, come now and take your rest.”
Walter Earl Napier was born January 30,
1948 in Mobile, Alabama, to the union of
William and Eva West-Napier. He exchanged
this life for eternity Monday, June 13, 2022.
Walt was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1965, and he
served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Napier travelled
the world for over twenty years as a Seaman before working
offshore for ten years. Upon retirement, he resided in Texas.
Being an avid hunter and fisherman, he later moved to a quaint log
cabin in the woods. He called Greenville, Alabama his home for
thirteen years before moving back to Mobile for health reasons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eva West-
Napier; his brothers: Millard “Bubba” Napier and William “Billy”

Napier; and his fiancée, Jennifer Hartley.
The memories of Mr. Walter Earl Napier will be cherished by his
loving and devoted family and friends: two children: Geton
Crittenden of Dallas, TX and John (Dominque) Robinson of
Mobile, AL; six grandchildren: Nakia Crittenden and Dalarian
Miles of Dallas, TX, Ariana, Joh’nire, Landen and Lauren
Robinson all of Mobile, AL; two great-grandchildren: Isaiah
Napier and Dallas Johnson of Dallas, TX; two sisters: Sharon

Napier-Smith and Sybil (Ezzard) Davis; a niece, Courtney Davis-
Ellis; a nephew, Ceasar Smith; cousin, Lydia West-Fletcher;

friends: Curtis Fields, Doc McGuire, Willie H. McCaskey and
Rodney (Lashonda) Hartley; a host of other relatives and friends.
