Wanda Michelle Jackson was born in Mobile, Alabama on February 26, 1956 to the late Melvin Edward Jackson, Sr. and Marietta Elaine Coleman Jackson. She was a 1973 graduate of Murphy High School. Wanda was a dedicated member of Third Baptist Church. She married Joaquin Pettway. This union was born one son, Terrance Sheldon Pettway.
She departed this life on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Marietta Jackson Sr; her brothers Dwight Jackson and Melvin Jackson Jr; her grandparents Elijah and Annie Coleman Sr. and Russell and Nettie Coleman Jr.
