William R. Davis, Sr.-- a native and resident of Mobile, born December 30, 1933, to the late Rosa Lee Davis, departed this life Saturday, November 10, 2007, at William F. Green State Veteran Hospital, Bay Minette, AL. He was preceded in death by his sister, Deloris Strange. He leaves to cherish his memories four daughters, Brenda McCants, Atlanta, GA, Vickie (Freddie) Lucky, Felecia (Tom Sawyer) Davis, Linda McMillan and Sandra McCullough; two sons, William R. Sr., all of Mobile and Terry (Jean) Davis, Daphne, AL; twenty five grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Annie Mary Carroll, Janice and Myrtle Williams and devoted nephew, Paul A. Burke, Sr, all of Mobile. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortaury Friday, November 16, 2007 from 1-8pm and Saturday, November 17, 2007 after 11am until the 1pm funeral hour.
