JOSEPH B. GREGORY, SR. – Loving husband, dad, pops, brother, father-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend and child of God transitioned from this earthly life to eternal glory on August 7, 2018. He was born on May 16, 1946 to the parentage of Howard & Maggie Lee Gregory who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Will Ivory Gregory.
Joseph was a faithful member of Nazaree Baptist Church (Now Nazaree Full Gospel Church) where he served as a deacon for many years under the pastorate of Bishop Joseph D. Phillips. He became a charter member of Temple of Jerusalem Ministries at its inception in January 2002 under the pastorate of the late Bishop Bobby L. Millsap, Jr. where he also faithfully served as a deacon until his death.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his devoted family, beloved wife of fifty years, Mary Howard Gregory; son, Joseph B. (Taja) Gregory, Jr.; daughter, Gabrielle D. Gregory; grandchildren, devoted, Darryl & Brielle; Candice, Shavondalyn, Mekiah, Quenterrias, Nick and Makayla; honorary grands, Khiana, Cameron, and Carrantin; sisters, Annie (Willie) Browder, Mobile, AL, Annie Lee (Ferris) Williams, Memphis, TN, and Maggie Hudson, Atlanta, GA; brothers, Howard Gregory, Jr., Cleveland, OH, John (Patricia) Gregory, Sr., Myrtle Beach, SC and Roger (Mamie) Gregory, Sr., Atlanta, GA; aunt, Beatrice Crenshaw, Mobile, AL; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Wilhelmina Gregory, Edith Howard, Nashville, TN, Annette Inge, Eunice Morrissette, Claudette (Phillip) Seals, Ethel (Bruce) Moulds, Charles Howard, Paul Howard all of Mobile, AL and Thomas (Diane) Howard, Philadelphia, PA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, neighbors, three devoted, Mr. & Mrs. Stanley Williams and Mrs. Gladys Enels; and his devoted Temple of Jerusalem Ministries Family and Nazaree Full Gospel Church Family.
