Demond Lamont Seals was born to Wade Seals and Dr. Rebecca Ann Shabazz on March 15, 1974. He departed this life on September 4, 2017. He graduated from Baker High School in 1992. He enlisted in the United States Army after high school and served honorably. Demond was a cook at many well-known restaurants throughout the city of Mobile with Noble South being his last place of employment.
Demond was affectionately known as “Pooh”. He loved his family and friends, but his pride and joy were his nieces and nephews whom he would often help with their homework when they didn’t understand the material. He also loved to cook.
He leaves to cherish his memories a wife, Rosalyn Pettway-Seals; a loving mother, Dr. Rebecca Shabazz; a loving father, Wade Seals; three loving siblings, Wade Roberts of San Antonio, Texas, Tamika (Joseph) McVay and Shawn (Dominic) Daniel, both of Mobile, AL; seven nieces and nephews, Marcellos Hudson, Jermaine Bradley, Jasmine Bradley, Kayla Seals, Stephanie Taldon, Stephen Taldon, and India Taldon, all of Mobile, AL; two great nephews, Koba Bradley and Zion Williams; two maternal aunts, Rev. Georgia B. Morrow of Wheeling, W,V and Elder Mattie (David) Carter of Irvington, AL; two maternal uncles, Claude Roberts of Mobile, AL, and Hurbert (Brenda) Roberts of Tallahassee, FL; five paternal aunts, Irene Winston, Betty Dawkins, Leola Pettway, and Vanessa Scott, all of Mobile, AL and Catherine Seals of Nashville, TN; four paternal uncles, Lugene Seals, Jr., Willie James Seals, Levi Seals and Davie Seals all of Mobile, AL. A host of relatives and devoted friends who felt like family.
Demond will be sadly missed by all, but we know that earth has no sorrow that heaven can’t heal.
