Obituary for Carrie Bell Cheeseboro

Carrie Bell Cheeseboro was born on January 25, 1950, in Leroy, Alabama to the late Daisy Mae Dixon and raised as a daughter by the late Robert Dixon Sr. She was the oldest of nine children and is survived by seven of her siblings.

Carrie accepted Christ at an early age and attended St. John AOH Church of God in Prichard, Alabama for many years. She was a high school graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School in Prichard, Alabama, class of 1969. After graduation, she began her college studies at Bishop State Junior College in Mobile, Alabama.

On June 26, 1971, she was united in love to the late Andrew Earl Cheeseboro. Carrie left her hometown of Mobile, Alabama as a military wife which took her on many adventures here in the United States and overseas including San Antonio, Texas, Taipei, Taiwan, San Vito, Italy, Baltimore, Maryland, Munich, Germany and Colorado Springs, Colorado. She eventually relocated to Olive Branch, Mississippi in 2001 and sadly departed this life on March 15, 2017.

Carrie Bell Cheeseboro was blessed with three loving and loyal children and leaves to cherish her most precious memories; her oldest son, Andre Deon Cheeseboro, daughter, Travicka Rochee Keaton (Todd) and youngest son Terrence Lamonte Cheeseboro (Carletta); her grandchildren, Ashlee Renee West (James), Ryan O’neil Montague, Terra Nycole Cheeseboro, Nya Simone Cheeseboro, Michael Bryan Keaton and Jaiden Andrew Cheeseboro. Carrie was blessed to also meet and enjoy precious time with her first great-grandchild, James Nathaniel West IV.

Carrie will forever be remembered and cherished by her brothers and sisters; Elder Robert Dixon Jr, Deborah Dixon Malone, Ronnie Dixon (Janice), Patricia Dixon Magee (Johnnie), Pastor Elder Mysonia Hawthorne, Michael Dixon and Marvis Dixon Sr (Carlisha). Her brother Albert Dixon was called home in March 2016. Carrie also leaves memories with a host of loving nieces, nephews, many cousins, other family members and friends.

Her remains will lie in state on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 5-8pm at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Phillips Temple AOH Church Of God, 2257 St. Stephens Road, Mobile AL. Interment will follow in Alabama State Veteran Cemetery, Spanish, AL.
