Juanita Earlene Brown Williams, also affectionally known as “Brownskin” or “Muff” was born in Sunflower, Washington County, Alabama on April 23, 1935. She was reared in a loving and caring home by her parents Ike and Peggy Brown.

Brownskin resided in Sunflower, Alabama until she met and married the love of her life, John Williams, Sr. and settled in Axis, Alabama. To this union six children were born.

She was employed with Searcy Hospital and retired after 26 dedicated years of service.

Her parents Ike and Peggy Brown, husband John Williams, Sr., siblings Eloise Rowser, Botney Brown, James “Bo” Brown, Sallie Brown Matthews, Betty Brown Walters, and J. D. Collins and one daughter Karen “Biddy” V. Williams Todd, preceded her in death.

On Wednesday, April 19, 2017, the Lord saw that Brownskin had grown tired and was ready to come home, He whispered to her, “Job well done,” and called her home to rest.

Muff leaves to cherish her memories four children, Yolanda Williams Safford of Mesquite, Texas, Rhonda Stewart (Joseph, Sr.) of Satsuma, Alabama, Brian Williams (Toni) of Mesquite, Texas, and Denise Mixon of Pensacola, Florida; Six siblings Eliza Myers of Moss Point, Mississippi, Dorothy Beamon of San Jose, California, Meta Yielder (Butch) of Sunflower, Alabama, Earl Brown Sr. (Lisa) of Gautier, Mississippi, Pearl Brown Wells of Pascagoula, Mississippi, and Linda Lang (Richard) of Gulfport, Mississippi; Thirteen grandchildren Shandrick, Shundrick, Dwanna, Devery (Natisha), Joseph Jr. (Tracy), Joe Jr., Courtney, Brandy, Ashley, Alexiss, Nikkos (Kiara), Kobe, Noah; Fifteen Great grandchildren Caden, Treston, Kaleb, Jordan, Nadia, Jasmin, Jobario, Jovina, Jolinana, Jaylo, Jaley, Kayden, Jordyn, Jacob, Kali; and several devoted friends Ella Hill, Mary Curtis, Betty & Doug Johnson, Larndine Law and Daniel Johnson.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Starlight Baptist Church, 5600 Old Highway 43, Satsuma, AL,

Interment will follow in Browns Cemetery, Sunflower, AL.
