The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joel Bradley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Life Story for Joel E. Bradley

Joel E. Bradley
On April 24, 1945 John and Tessie Lula Bradley became the proud parents of Joel Earl Bradley.

Joel remained a life resident of Daphne, Alabama until his passing on his father’s birthday, May 4, 2017. He thrived under the love and care of a large close-knit family and nurturing community. Joel joined Pine Grove C.M.E. Church at a young age and attended Baldwin County Training School.

At some point in Joel’s life, partly because of his easy going and accepting nature of his children, nieces and nephews, he became affectionately known as “Daddy Bo”. No child was denied his attention. No life occurrence -- good, bad or otherwise – was denied his humorous point of view on the matter.

Joel was preceded in death by his parents; sister Eurydice Bradley Kinney; three infant brothers and two grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Left to cherish Joel’s memories which are too many to forget, are his wife Patricia Watson Bradley; daughters, Angela (Tyrone) Hendry, Tanzie Bradley White of Daphne, AL; Carline Lynch, Robertsdale, AL; JaTavia Bradley, Olivia Bradley, Brittany Bradley of Daphne, AL; one son, Joel Anthony Bradley of Daphne; one devoted stepson, Maurice Watson of Daphne, AL; sisters,Dr. Elva E. Bradley, Tuscaloosa, AL and Trudy Bradley Powell, Montgomery, AL. He is further survived by seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; cousin, Jerome Pruitt survives him with the love of a brother; two devoted friends, Larry Jackson and Jeffery Tunstall of Daphne, AL to also cherish Joel’s memory; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors and the “Shade Tree” gang.
