Obituary for Myrtle Lucille DeTiege

Mrs. Myrtle Lucille Humphrey DeTiege, a resident of Mobile, AL, was born on January 21, 1915 to Charles and Charlotte Myers Humphrey. She departed this life for her eternal home on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

She was the youngest of nine children. She married Ernest DeTiege of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and to this union two children were born, who preceded her in death, Charlotte DeTiege and Marshall DeTiege. Mrs. DeTiege worked as a housewife helping to raise her nieces and nephews.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two granddaughters, Lucille Richburg Castro (Victor) and Lucrisia DeTiege Philan (Carlos); one grandson, Varian K. Doolittle; great-granddaughter, Victoria Castro and Yavecya Philan; two great- grandsons, Earl Woods, III and Chauncey Philan, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Her remains will lie in state on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, AL.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 8:30am until the 9:30am funeral hour at Prince Of Peace Catholic Church, 454 Charleston Street, Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Catholic Cemetery, Mobile, AL.
