Alberta Gamble Jackson, age 94, was born on September 5, 1922 in Coffeeville, AL and was a longtime resident of Mobile. She transitioned to eternal rest on Tuesday, August 15, 2017.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, Mose and Hattie Gamble; her husband, Lawrence Jackson; and her brother, Walter Lee Easter. She leaves to cherish her memories, five loving children - Lawrence (Germaine) Jackson, Beverly (Clifford) Bryant, Lauretta (Clarence) Washam, Bernard Jackson, and Deborah (Marvin) Hegger; a devoted goddaughter, Arlene Wells; a loving godson, Demetres (Tonya) Osborne; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

The home-going ceremony commemorating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Stone Street Baptist Church (311 Tunstall Street) with visitation at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Milton Saffold, the Pastor of Stone Street Baptist, will officiate the ceremony.

Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Cemetery, Theodore, AL.
