Sgt Byron Dwight McAlpine was born on November 22, 1958 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Rueben L. McAlpine and Marie Riser of Gusport, Alabama. He departed this life for his eternal home on Monday, December 11, 2017.

Bryon was a 1976 graduate of Toulminville High School. He worked at USA Hospital and the International Paper Company. Shortly afterwards (1982) he enlisted in the U.S. Army, retiring after twenty (20) years of service. He was also a devoted Masonic member for many years.

On February 22, 1983 he married Veronica R. Williams (Mobile). After retiring he moved backed to Mobile with his wife (Veronica) and children (Enjoli, Sheena, Byron).

Byron leaves to cherish his memories a beloved and devoted wife of 35 years: Veronica McAlpine; two daughters: Enjoli McAlpine and Sheena McAlpine; one son Byron K. McAlpine, all of Mobile Alabama; nine (9) grandchildren: Eboni, Emmaneul, Essence, TaMario, Satliya, Sha’Kira, Amyria, Diamond, and Baby Skye, all of Mobile, Alabama; two (2) great grandchildren: Londyn and Ka’Von; three beloved sisters: Melanie, Alicia, Corsicra all of Mobile, Alabama; one beloved brother: Bernard Kimbrough; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Small’s Mortuary Chapel, 950 South Broad Street, Mobile, Alabama.
