Mrs. Helen W. Byrd was born on June 12, 1938 departed this life for her eternal home on Monday, February 26, 2018.

She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband: James W. Byrd of Mobile, AL; two daughters: Rochelle (Tarzene) Abrams; Petra (Derrick) Long; one son: Andre (Margaret) Byrd; a host of other relatives and friends.

Her remains will lie in state from 5-8pn, Friday, March 2, 2018 at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Delaware Street MB Church, 701 S. Lawrence St., Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Starlight Cemetery, Chunchula, AL.
