Jesse Ray  Gilmore Jr.
Jesse Ray Gilmore, Jr. was born in Mobile, AL on February 13, 1970 to Jesse Ray Gilmore, Sr. and Ida Mae (Slaughter) Gilmore. He transitioned March 26, 2018.
Jesse graduated from B.C. Rain in 1988. He attended Alabama State University (1988-1990). He joined the U. S. Navy in 1991 and was honorably discharged in 1995 and served in the Naval Reserve until March 14, 1999. Jesse began his career with the U.S. Postal Service March 14, 1998, where he served as supervisor until God called him home.
Jesse was a fun-loving and kind hearted soul. His children were his pride and joy. He loved his family dearly and whole-heartedly!
Jesse was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Mae Gilmore; grand parents, Roger W. Slaughter, Emmett and Ginger V. Gilmore.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving wife, Telisha Nicole Gilmore; three daughters, Ashley Massey, Taylor and Amber Gilmore; one son, Jacob Gilmore; a loving father, Jesse Gilmore, Sr.; step-mother, Hazel Gilmore; one brother, Leonard (Melanie) Gilmore; three sisters, Carla Weaver, Shanel (Lateef) Walker, Jasmine Reed; two stepbrothers, Jarrod (Marleen) Pressley, Juan (Cynthia) Reed; devoted two aunts, Vivian Lyle, Emmie Jean (Jackie) Calhoun, one uncle, George Earl (Marylou) Gilmore; a host of close relative and good friends.
His remains will lie in state on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 5-8pm at Small's Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 9am until the11am funeral hour at Stone Street Baptist Church, 311 Tunstall Street, Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens, Mobile. DIGNIFIED AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ENTRUSTED TO SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. BROAD ST., MOBILE, AL.
