Monica Fairley
Monica Shawn Davis Fairley was born on August 22, 1967 to Irene Curtis and Ben Davis in the city of Mobile, Alabama. She was a native and life-long resident of Whistler, Alabama. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her brother Marvin Davis, her beloved sister Samona Curtis and her mother in law Lillie Pettway. Shawn was full of life laughter and smiles no matter what was going in her life. Her most favorite times was having family gatherings with all of those that she loved so dearly. She was an excellent cook and host to everyone who came into her home. Even if she didn’t know you personally, you were always made to feel like you’ve known her for years. Her love and care for her family will live on in our hearts forever.

Shawn was employed by Oxford Health Care as an in-home patient caregiver. She enjoyed being able to be there for her patient who were unable to do things for themselves. Her special love was for Javier (Jay) Rowe the son of WGOK’s Felicia Allbritton for a number of years. Even when she didn’t feel well, she made sure that Jay was taken care of.
