Gail Marie Nelson
Gail Marie Nelson was born on November 15, 1980, and departed this life for her eternal home on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. She was preceded in death by her sister: Sheneice Sumpter; grandfathers: John Rankin and Eugene Nelson, Sr.; Uncle: Eugene Nelson, Jr.; aunts: Gail Buskey and Lolita Murphy and Cousin: Stacey Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter: Shaniya Cook; two loving sons: Zyrian Covington and Kymani Nelson; her loving parents: Debra Nelson and Gregory (Shirley) Nelson, Sr; Grandmothers: Barbara Brown and Elizabeth Nelson; sisters: Erica Trotter, Tracy (Marlon) Nelson, Myosha (Brandon) Nelson; one loving and devoted twin brother: Gregory (Alana) Nelson, Jr; nieces: Shanae (Terry) McCovery, Sr., Alyssia Nelson, Jakaiya Wiley, McKenzie Nelson, and Nyla Ingram; nephews: Marquis Trotter, LaDarius Pate , Kaitonio King, and Gregory Nelson, III; great nephews: Amari Whitfield and Terry McCovery Jr.; three devoted aunts: Bernadette Moore, Jennifer Winbush and Lynette Brown; along with a host of other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Her remains will lie in state on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 1- 8pm at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Stewart Memorial CME Church, 1266 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile, Alabama.
