Meltoria Crockett
Meltoria Hawatha Crockett, a native of Mt. Vernon,
Alabama, and a resident of Bronx, New York, was born on
January 16, 1969 to the late Thomas and Jessie M. Crockett.
She graduated from Satsuma High School in 1988 and
continued her education at Lehman College in Bronx, New
York. After attending college, she worked in the health care
field for over twenty years. One of her passions was taking

traveling, Meltoria could be found perched in front of the
television watching Betty Davis movies (her favorite
actress), Jurassic Park series movies or any other sci-fi
movie.
Meltoria loved her Catholic faith. She was a faithful
member of St. Helena’s Catholic Church in Bronx, New
York, until her death.
