Mary Margaret  Smith
Mary Margaret Lipscomb Smith was a native of Mobile, Alabama and a resident of Grand Bay, Alabama for over 60 years. She was the first child born to Fred and Rosena Lipscomb on June 13, 1930 and exchanged time for eternal rest on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.
She was a 1947 graduate of Dunbar High School.
She was a faithful member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir and Sunday School Superintendent.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Phyllis; and her siblings, Willie Barnese, Hazel Williams, William Lipscomb, Joyce Cooke, and John Lipscomb.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of sixty-seven years, Edward Smith; daughter, Venetia; sister-in-law, Barbara Lipscomb; granddaughter, Kayleigh McClinton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Her remains will lie in state Saturday, September 23, 2017, after 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Morning Star Baptist Church, 3950 Lloyd Station Rd.
