George Ralph  Coker
George Ralph Coker (Coker Red), 69 of Mobile, Alabama passed away on March 26, 2018. He was born on January 13, 1949.

He was educated in the Mobile County School System and graduated from Central High School in 1967. He was a proud member of the Marching 130 High School Band. He joined the U.S. Army after graduating from high school. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1968 until 1974.

George was married to Shirley on March 19, 1980; they were married for 38 years. George worked various jobs, his last occupation was a Truck Driver. He traveled with his wife all across the country throughout her 23 years of service in the U. S Navy. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had a way about him that he never met a stranger. He loved good conversation and debates. He had a passion for music and would spend time listening to music or playing his drums, flute, guitar, and saxophone.

He was preceded in death by his mother:Martha Anderson, his father: John Henry Martin, and his grandparents: Annie and Louzell Coker.

George is survived by his loving and devoted wife: Shirley; two sons: Jacque(Pamela) Thomas (Fairfax, Virginia), and Antonio Coker, Mobile, Alabama; two daughters: Cherri Dulaney and Stacy Coker; two sisters: Verinda Davidson and Madilyn (Michael) Jackson of Mobile, Alabama; one brother: Fernando Smith, Cleveland, Ohio; one uncle: Louzell Coker Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers-in-law: Charles(Bonnie) Robinson, Cecil (Eunice) Robinson and Marvin (Lisa) Robinson, Mobile, Alabama; two sisters in-law: Jessie Robinson Chesapeake, Virginia and Alberta Robinson, Mobile, Alabama; thirteen grandchildren; a special nephew: Elton(Sophee) Davidson; two godsons: Zachary and Zykell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, 11am at Greater Mt. Olive #2 Missionary Baptist Church, 251 Lafayette Street, Mobile, Alabama.
