Obituary for Louis Edward Wright III

Louis Edward Wright III
Louis Edward Wright, III., was born August 4, 1988 in Mobile, Alabama to Louis Edward Wright, Jr., and Kimberley Duncan Wright. He accepted Christ on October 9, 1994 and was baptized at Lily Baptist Church.

He was a faithful member of the Lily and was an active participant in the youth department. His love for Christ grew over the years and he had a strong relationship with Christ. He graduated from Murphy High School in 2006, where he played football. His physical prowess and academic achievement earned him a football scholarship at Alabama State University in Montgomery where he was a leading player on the football team. He later played briefly at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, AL.

As Louis grew into a strong young man, he developed a passion for landscaping which he exemplified working for Bishop State College in his home town of Mobile. Louis loved his family and friends beyond belief. He had an infectious smile that could bring joy to anyone around him. Louis was the true definition of a selfless person. He was a thoughtful and caring father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, godson/brother, and friend. Most of all, his love for his son, Landen, was undeniable. Landen’s love for his dad was just as palpable and obvious when Landen’s eyes lit up every time he saw Louis. Landen wanted to be everywhere his daddy was, or at least talk to him as much as possible. We are all blessed to have Landen as a reminder of Louis’ love for us.

Louis left this earth on June 2, 2018 at the young age of 29. He will truly be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jefferson James Duncan, Sr., and his grandmother, Annie Mae Wright.

Louis leaves to cherish his memories, his precious son: Landen Wright; loving and devoted parents: Louis, Jr., and Kimberley Wright; his ever-caring sister: LaNita Wright Harris; a committed grandmother: Gladys P. Duncan; aunts: Louise Duncan, Rita Mae (Eric) Mitchell, and Jackie Wright; uncles: Jefferson Duncan, II., Clarence (Helena) Duncan, Ransom Duncan, Cornell Duncan, James Wright, Donnell Robinson, Johnny Wright; great aunt: Annie S. Pringle; great uncles: LaRue (Juanita) Pringle, Ransom (Jacqueline) Pringle, Jr., Thomas Pringle; special little cousin: Kennedy Duncan; godparents: Larry and Cynthia Kim; and a special friend: Chantal Young. He also leaves behind a host of loving cousins, other relatives, and friends. Louis leaves us all with many memories to cherish.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 12pm until the 2pm funeral hour at Lily Baptist Church, 358 Kennedy St, Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mobile, AL.
