Obituary for Ora Stone

Ora Lee Stone-- 73 a native of Berlin, AL. and a resident of Whistler, born January 28, 1935 to the late Charlie King and Josie Thomas, exchanged this life for eternity Thursday, April 10, 2008 at a local hospital. She was a faithful member of Cedar Street Missionary Baptist Church. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rane Stone, Sr., two children, Rosa Abner and Charles king. She leaves to cherish her memories four loving and devoted children, Rane Stone Jr., Ora Nettles, Thomas(Angela) Stone, all of Prichard and Henry Stone, Sacramento, CA., ten grands, sixteen great-grands, two great- great grands, two god sons, Harry Lynch and L.J. Wright Jr., one devoted grandson-in-law, Roosevelt Sledge, two sisters-in-law, Carrie Cowart and Leola Stone, special niece, Rose Stone, very special and devoted cousin, Willie Mae Wilkerson and family, Anderson, IN., six special and devoted friends, Lawerence Burns, Susie O'Field, Dorothy "Babydoll" Rodgers Rev. I. T. McKinney, Wallace(Tressie) Holcombe and Sandra Johnson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, April 18, 2008 from 1-8pm and Saturday, April 19, 2008 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour Cedar Street Missionary Baptist Church, Interment Bailey Cemetery, Saraland, AL.
