Obituary for A.C. Mosley Sr.

Deacon A.C. Mosley, Sr. age 90, a resident of Mobile, AL passed peacefully at his home on October 30, 2014. Deacon Mosley was born on November 29, 1923 in Repton, AL to the union of Sam Mosley and Henretta (Lett) Mosley. He moved to Mobile at the age of 17 and became a faithful member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church for 73 years. He was married to Betty (Miles) Mosley for 65 years until his death and from this marriage they had three sons, one deceased at birth. He worked for Longshoreman with the position of team leader over his crew until 1957 to take a job as a truck driver with G.F.A. Transportation Co until 1987. During his years at Shiloh he served as a Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent, Chairman of the Deacon Board, President of the Gospel Chorus and the Junior Usher Board. He was preceded in death by 8 brothers, 11 sisters and a devoted granddaughter. He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife; two sons, A.C. Mosley, Jr. and Michael Mosley, Sr; two daughters-in-law; one sister; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Special thank you to Alacare and Staff Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church 609 S.
