Obituary for Alexander Turner

Mr. Alexander Turner (Ba-Ba) - born in Mobile, AL, September 28, 1949 departed this life on Saturday, January 27, 2007 in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John E. Turner, Jr. and Larry Turner, Sr., aunt, Blanch James. He leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Martha Turner, New Jersey; three children, Steven (Latricia) Thompson, Texas City, TX, Lisa (Charles) Woods, Irvington, AL and Shounessy Perry, New Jersey; three stepdaughters, Joyce, Carly and Lucretia Perry all of New Jersey. twenty grandchildren, two great - grandchildren, devoted and loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. (Margaret) Turner, Sr.; two sisters, Margaret Pettaway and Christina Turner; aunt, Eddna Williams; uncle, Rev. Romie (Benita) Harris; a host of nieces, one very devoted, Shirley Turner; nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2007 at Small's Mortuary, Inc., and Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Sweet Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 359 St. Charles Ave from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral hour. The Rev. H. P. Williams, Pastor and officiating minister. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Dignified and professional services are entrusted to SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. Broad St, Mobile, AL
