Obituary for America Cook

America Cook-- a native of Gilbertown, AL, and a resident of Mobile, born November 30, 1928 to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Millige Everett, departed this life Tuesday, December 25, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Sr., two sons, Roger and Cepharell Cook, grandson, Wesley Ellis, three brothers, sister and godson, Cory Beck. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Wesley Jr. (Joyce) and Dennis Cook, both of Mobile, stepmother, Dessie Everett, Waynesboro, MS, seven grands, twelve great-grands, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, two devoted cousins, Mary Foster and Asonia Smith, several friends, Mary Daniels, Alice Walker and Mary Morgan. Special thanks to Mobile Infirmary Hospice Staff. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary, Friday, December 28, 2007 from 1-8pm and Saturday, December 29, 2007 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour Little Welcome Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. J.C. Garror pastor and officiating minister. Interment Whispering Pines Cemetery.
