Obituary for Andrew Moore Jr.
Andrew “Drew” Moore Jr., was born in Dixon Mills, Alabama to the late Andrew Moore Sr. and Pearlie Kee Moore on September 6, 1945. Drew exchanged this life for eternity on July 12, 2018.
He was a graduate of Marengo High School. Drew served in the United States Army and spent most of his life long distance trucking. He was ordained as a minister in 2004.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Norflet Hunter Jr.; his son, Derrick Moore; his sister, Grace Dixon; and brother-in-law, Timothy Hunter.
He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife of thirty years, Audrey Moore; six sons: Andrew Moore III, Anthony Moore of Dayton, Ohio, Andre Moore, DeAndrea Hunter, Michael Hunter and Corey Hunter all of Mobile, Alabama; two daughters: Andrea (Theris) Moore Howard of Mobile, Alabama and Taneka (John) Beck of Fort Leonard Wood, MO; two bonus daughters who he helped raise, April and Tara Frazier of Mobile, Alabama; a mother-in-law, Charity Hunter of Mobile, Alabama; four sisters-in-law: Hannah Moore, Mary Draine, Denise Ward and Dorothy (Eric) Williams all of Mobile, Alabama; two brothers-in-law: David Hunter and Larry (Altheria) Hunter both of Mobile, Alabama; fifteen grandchildren: Makayla, Courtney, Christopher, Isaiah, DeAndrea, Jr., DeAlexandria, Kynnedi, KeAndrea, Nina, Deonte, Deon, Mahki, Michael, Jr., D’Prynce and King; a host of nieces, nephews; cousins, one devoted, Bernice Rogers; a host of aunts, other relatives and friends; devoted friends: John Reid, Langston Stallworth, Jeff McIntosh, and Samuel Earl “Buster” Grayson.
A “Memorial Service” will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11am in Small’s Mortuary Chapel, 950 South Broad Street, Mobile, Alabama.
