Obituary for Annie Buchanan

Mother Annie Mae Buchanan-- a native of Auburn, AL, and a resident of Pensacola, FL, for more than sixty years, born May 28, 1923 to the late Otis Bay and Mary Harper, departed this earthly life for eternal joy Monday, January 7, 2008 at her residence. She was preceded in death by son, Carvin "Gobbler" Buchanan. Over fifty years ago, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined Greater Little Rock Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend W.P. Jones. Lamenting her demise, but forever cherishing her memories a devoted and loving husband, Mr. George Buchanan Sr., two sons, Elder George (Angela) Buchanan Jr. both of Pensacola, and Pastor Charles (Virginia) Buchanan, Mobile, two daughters, Maggie Mae Buchanan and Evelyn (Colvin "Kruschev") Rancifer, ten grands, James "Yank" (Mary) Wright Jr., Katja (Elder Willie) Richardson, Michelle Watts, Colvin Jr. "Treet Treet" (Victoria) and Christopher (Tenisha) Rancifer, Pastor Joseph Louis (Terri) Marshall, Sandra (Levon) Davis, Andra (Minister Michael) White, all of Pensacola, Tiffany and Erica Buchanan, Mobile, thirty-one great grands, three sisters-in-law, Janie M. Grant, Anniston, AL., Vennie Wright, Pontiac, MI., and Pearl Cook, Cleveland, OH. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, January 11, 2008 from 1-8pm, family will receive friends from 7-8pm, and Saturday, January 12, 2008 after 10am until the 11am funeral hour Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, 6550 North Palafox St., Pensacola, FL, 32503.
