Obituary for Atmore Pettway Sr.

Atmore Pettway, Sr. a native of Orriville, Alabama and a resident of Mobile, Alabama departed this life on Monday, April 27, 2015 at a local nursing home. He was born on May 1, 1934 to the late Golden Pettway and Mary Mooney. He was a dedicated employee of with the City of Mobile before retiring after over 42 years of service. He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife, Maggie Mae Pettway; seven children, Mildred Price, Doris and Debra Irby, Timothy, Betty, Penny and Atmore Pettway, Jr.; four sisters, Romattie West, Mary Hall, Penny Rodgers and Ida Dudley; a host of devoted grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, two devoted, Patricia Watson and Rufus Austin; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 12noon until the 2pm funeral hour at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile, AL.
