Obituary for Aubrey Christopher Gandy
“A Beloved Son, Husband and Father”
Aubrey C. Gandy, affectionately known as “Puddin”, age 58, entered Heaven’s gates on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 peacefully and surrounded by his loving family. Aubrey was born to the union of Floyd and Carolyn Gandy. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and was baptized at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist No. 1 in Mobile, AL. Aubrey is a current member of Apostolic Church of God (RPC).
Aubrey is a proud 1977 graduate of Toulminville High School. He is a retired longshoreman from ILA Local 1410 where he worked for more than 40 years. Aubrey also worked as a foreman for CSA.
Gandy was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Odie Doyle and his paternal grandparents, Greely and Maggie Gandy.
Aubrey is survived by a devoted, loving, and faithful wife of thirty-seven years, Emily Kyser Gandy. Along with his wife he leaves to cherish six children, Kim Maddox Frazier, Audrey Fox, Timeria, Tiffany and Brandon Kyser, and Christopher Lumpkin; a stepson, Demond Kyser; a loving and devoted mother, Carolyn Gandy; a loving father Floyd (Della) Gandy; four siblings, Cynthia (George) Robinson, Lloyd (Phyllis) Gandy, Carl Gandy Sr., Kiki Patterson; twelve grandchildren, one devoted, Jaylan Kyser, Tyrone Simmons, Kary Smith, Kharley Kyser, A’Varie Kalei Morehead, Brandi Kyser, William Roberts, Malachi Lumpkin, Kharson Kyser, Nikoya Jackson, Brandon Kyser Jr., and Nicholas Jackson; mother-in-law, Shirley Lumpkin; sister-in-law, Sharon (James) Chandler; three brothers-in-law, John (Roshunda) Lumpkin, Timothy and Eddie Lumpkin; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Aubrey was a fun and upbeat person his entire life and will be greatly missed by all.
