Barbara J. Gordon
Barbara Jean Gordon, born on December 24, 1941 to the late Geraldine Hunter Tunstall and the late John Henry Tunstall in Mobile, AL, passed away at age 76 on June 2, 2018 in Mobile, AL. A long time resident of Montrose, AL she spent her latter years in Mobile, AL. Barbara attended Alabama A&M University and worked for 23 years with the Department of Human Resources for the State of Alabama until retiring in 1999.

Barbara gave tirelessly to her family and friends who were loved like family. Her heart and home were always open to anyone in need. She lovingly met the needs of others who were put in her path. She leaves a legacy of compassion and care. She loved and poured into the lives of many children and will always be fondly remembered by those she touched.

Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers Clovice Sams, Charles Sams, Jesse Lee Armstead, and her stepmother Inez P. Tunstall. She is survived by her sons, Orlando (Rhega) and Kenneth; daughter, Kimberly; brothers, Robert Trammell and John Bernard Tunstall; and sister, JaWahna Tunstall-Crane; grandchildren, Brandon Morrisette, Adrianna Gordon, Herlandez Corley, Kenneth Gordon, Kelsey Gordon, Jansyn Gordon, Giovanna Gordon and Owen Norwood; great grandchildren, Landon Morisette, Louis Eljiah Jones ,Jr.; extended family, James Bailey and Shermaine Jessie; god-daughter Jessica Odom and several nieces and nephews. All of these and a host of dear friends are left to celebrate her life and continue her legacy.

Friends and family are welcome to attend the service on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Shrine of the Holy Cross, 612 Main Street, Daphne, AL 36526.
