Obituary for Barbara Ruth King
Barbara Emerson King a resident of Citronelle, Alabama departed this life on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America, Newnan, GA. She was born to the union of Bobby and Alice Emerson on September 28, 1961. She was 54 years old.
Barbara was a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She was a 1979 graduate of Citronelle High School and employed with the Mobile County Sherriff’s Department.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving mother: Alice Emerson of Citronelle, AL; three devoted children: Bryant king, Aldra (Jamie) King and Wendell King, Jr of Citronelle, AL; six grandchildren: Jada, Javarion, Jasmine, Jacorey and Jamiya King of Citronelle, AL and Alyssa Ezell of Vancleve, MS; three sisters, Arberdella (Robert) Henderson of Citronelle, AL, Michelle (Lorenzo) Moore of Conley, GA and Juanita Emerson of Marietta, GA; two brothers, Michael (Darlene) Emerson of Ellenwood, GA and Reginald (Eloise) Chapman of State Line, MS.; five aunts; four uncles; one great uncle; one niece; nine nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Citronelle, AL. Interment will follow in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Citronelle, AL.
