Obituary for Betty McMillian Ellis (BJ)

Betty J. McMillian Ellis (BJ) was born August 19, 1946 and departed this life for a better one on Friday, December 18, 2009 at the young age of 63. Betty was employed at USA Medical Center for 42 years. A hard worker, devoted mother and grandmother, she leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Tonya McMillian Franks (Mario) and Kimberly McMillian; son Kenneth McMillian; a devoted granddaughter Courtney McMillian; five other grandchildren, Marlon Franks, Roslyn Powell, Zakiah Dean Kenneth McMillian and Fredricka Johnson; two great grandchildren, Cortez Harper and Dana Jordan all of Mobile, AL.; one devoted cousin Arlene McMillian and a host of relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state on Saturday, December 26, 2009 after 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, 608 South Bayou Street, Mobile, AL. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Whispering Pines Cemetery, Eight Mile, AL. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad Street, Mobile, AL.
